1. 12th International Congress on Psychopharmacology & 8th International Symposium on Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology Outstanding Research Presentations Awards.

The best three oral/ poster research presentation abstracts accepted for presentation and presented at the Congress will be awarded with the ICP 2021 Outstanding Research Presentations Awards by the ICP 2021 Scientific Committee.

First Place: TRY 3000

Third Place: TRY 1000

Important Note: To be a nominee for the ICP 2021 Outstanding Research Presentations Awards, submitted abstract or brief report of the nominated study should not be previously published elsewhere nor under review in any other journals. All abstracts and brief reports should be prepared according to the Psychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology submission guidelines.

Presenters who would like to nominate for the ICP 2021 Outstanding Research Presentations Awards are required to upload the Brief Report of their abstracts to the abstract submission system by the deadline which will be further announced. The authors should submit their oral/ poster research presentation abstracts with 250-300 words to the online abstract submission system within abstract submission period. Presenters who would like to nominate for the award are required to upload the Brief Report of their abstracts to the abstract submission system by the deadline which will be further announced. Brief reports will be uploaded through "Upload Your Brief Report" button at the 8th step of abstract submission. Brief Report format is maximum 1,500 words excluding title, authors and affiliation, and references. Each article begins with the title at the top, the authors below, and their affiliations under it which are stated with supercited numbers just next to each author. Abstract of brief report should not be included in the document. Brief reports should be structured (objective, methods, results, and discussion). Despite a maximum of 5 references is ideal, Brief Reports which refer only to the most valuable literature, have a greater focus on the methodology and results of the study rather than a review of the literature, and prepare it using as few references as possible are the main criteria for the evaluation.

All abstracts and brief reports of award-nominated research presentations should be written in and composed of for components as following:

Abstract: objective, methods, results, and conclusions
Brief report: objective, methods, results, and discussion

Award-nominated abstracts are submitted with a maximum number of two tables and one high-quality figure which are optional to be submitted for each. Each Outstanding Research Presentations Awards Brief Report is restricted to four tables and two high-quality figures maximum in the manuscript.

References of brief reports should be organized in accordance with journal instructions of the Psychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology.

Please see the “Abstract Submission” page for further details. Either abstract or brief report of a study which is not fully ccomplied with the instructions will not be evaluated by the by the ICP 2021 Scientific Committee.

2. The ICP 2021 Congress Attendance Scholarship

This scholarship aims to encourage participants who are training in psychiatry, neurology or pharmacology or currently studying a Ph.D./ M.Sc. degree on neuroscience or psychology and who presented their abstracts at the congress. The scholarship includes a discounted registration fee and an exclusively discounted accommodation fee for the ICP 2021 which will be granted by the Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology. The authors who applied to the scholarship should participate in the congress. The scholarship can not be transferred to another author of the abstract or another participant. Applicants for the scholarship must provide the document that shows a training, or a master/ doctorate status for the free registration to the congress. The scholarship only covers the presenter of oral or poster presentations. To apply for the scholarship, please select "Yes" for the "Apply for the ICP 2021 Congress Attendance Scholarship" selection at the 10th step of the abstract submission.

Who is eligible?
* Please send your document that shows a training, or a master / doctorate status to murat.nane@burkon.com following the acceptance of your abstract.

Participants who were unable to cover their own congress registration and accommodation fees or unable to find any industrial sponsorship.
* Participants who are training in psychiatry, neurology or pharmacology or currently studying a Ph.D./ M.Sc. degree on neuroscience or psychology.
* Only the presenter of the abstract met the criteria above can benefit from the scholarship. The scholarship can not be transferred to another participant.
* Whose at least one abstract is accepted to be presented at the congress.
* Applicants who provided the document that shows a training, or a master / doctorate status.
* One hundred participants will be granted with the scholarship.
* Oral/ poster research presenters have priority to be granted with this scholarship. If there remains a vacancy for the scholarship, the Congress Executive Committee will select case report presenting participants through a draw.

What is included?
*
Participants who are selected for the scholarship will pay an exclusive discounted fee of TRY 2100 + VAT for the accommodation in triple rooms at the congress hotel.
* 50% discount for in-person congress attendance registration fee.
* 50% discount for online congress attendance registration fee.
* 25% discount for in-person congress attendance registration fee will be applied for scholarship holders who do not request accommodation at the congress hotel.

NOTE: The scholarship terms for in-person congress participants who were already selected for the scholarship before the postponement, are reserved.

3- Long-Term Research Scholarships of Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology

Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology provides this scholarship to eligible highly qualified scientists from the following categories in order to provide financial support for their studies and observations on biological psychiatry outside of Turkey. The administrative board of Turkish Association of Psychopharmacology is responsible for determining the jury that will select the scientists to be supported and providing a financial support within the context of this scholarship. The administrative board of Turkish Association of Psychopharmacology is authorized to cancel the scholarship in case of insufficient financial support. Administrative board of the association announces the number of scholarships and their categories 6 months before the 12th International Congress on Psychopharmacology & the 8th International Symposium on Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology. Financial support includes transportation expenses (economy class round trip ticket), 3-month health insurance and monthly 1,500.00 USD payments.

Category I: Young Researcher Scholarship of Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology

2nd year and onward psychiatry and pharmacology residents & psychiatrists and pharmacologists (including assistant professors) below the age of 40 who are still working in an educational institution can apply for this scholarship.

Applications should be submitted along with the poster applications for the 12th ICP and 8th ISCAP at least prior to one month to the congress.

Qualifications and documents for this application:

a) The applicant should submit at least 1 poster for the poster competition in the 12th ICP- 8th ISCAP.
b) Submit the CV and the list of his/her previous publications.
c) Applicants should prove their English proficiency with related documents.
d) 1,250-1,500 words length personal statement explaining the key role that the applicant wants to play in the future of psychiatry.
e) Reference letter from the director (supervisor, department chair, or dean) of the educational institution that the applicant currently works.

The winner of the scholarship will be selected from the first five finalists in the poster contest (pre-requisite) and they will be announced in the award ceremony at the end of the congress.

Category II: Career Development Scholarship of Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology

Only associate professors and professors which are actively working in an educational institution and performing scientific researches in psychiatry and psychopharmacology can apply for this scholarship. There is no age restriction for the application, however, the applicant is required to be highly qualified researchs in psychopharmacology. The applicant should apply to the administrative board of Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology with a petition stating his/her application for the award at least a month before the 12th ICP and 8th ISCAP. The candidate should submit his/her previous publications list, 1,250-1,500 words length personal statement explaining the key role that the applicant wants to play in the future of psychiatry (in English), and state her/his most important 3 works and the country and center that the she/he will use the scholarship.

The Executive Board of the Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology has been providing the above-referred scholarships since 2008 and has agreed to select one scholar for each categories mentioned above in 2021.
